Legal Clinic AGM follows special presentation on ACTION ON Poverty Reduction. It can start with you!  - Community Advocacy & Legal Centre's Annual General Meeting is November 20, 2008. Members of the public are invited to attend to celebrate the work of the legal clinic and review the clinic’s accomplishments over the past year. Prior to the CALC AGM the Affordable Housing Action Network will be presenting: "The 25-in-5 Blueprint for Poverty Reduction in Ontario." Mr. Marvyn Novick, Co-founder of Campaign 2000, is guest speaker.

Legal clinic to host forum on Employment Issues Facing Low Wage Earners - The Centre hosts a panel discussion called “Reality Cheque: A Forum on Employment Issues Facing Low Income Workers" on Tuesday, December 4th. What are the challenges finding decent work? What are the challenges in remaining at work? What resources are available in the community for low income workers? What can workers do if their employment rights are not respected?
