Our Office Staff

Lynda Morgan, Office Manager

Lynda started at the clinic as a legal secretary in 1990. In 1996 she became the Office Manager. She is responsible for clinic operations and administration.  Although she does not work directly with clients, she participates as much as possible in outreach projects and attends local workshops. Lynda works directly with the Board of Directors of the clinic.

Carolyn Hamilton, Executive Assistant

Carolyn joined the clinic in May 2003 as an intake worker. She received her Law Clerk certificate from the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario in 1995 and worked as a legal administrative assistant in a corporate law office, assisting with litigation, prior to joining the clinic. She is currently an Executive Assistant and provides administrative assistance to the Executive Director and Office Manager and is our intake lead.  Carolyn is also our in-house information technology and communications lead, sitting on various IT-related committees both within our clinic and in the legal clinic system. She is the webmaster for this site and maintains our Facebook and Twitter pages.  As well, she puts together our newsletter, Bafflegab (distributed semi-annually to our clients, other clinics, agencies and support groups), and our Annual Report.

Diane French, Intake Worker/Support Staff

Diane has been with the clinic since November 1996. Primarily she provides administrative assistance on ODSP case files. She is also an intake worker, providing information and referrals to people. She prepares all client disbursement accounts. She maintains our Tickler System, a requirement of the Law Society of Upper Canada, and organizes the publication and distribution of our newsletter, Bafflegab. She is also on the Office Wellness Committee. Diane is very dedicated to the clinic’s work and clients.

Denise Bird, Intake Worker/Support Staff

Denise joined the clinic in July 2003.  She is an intake worker and she provides administrative assistance to our legal workers. She keeps track of our public legal education events, radio shows, and clinic pamphlet distribution. She also manages our library database.  Denise is the person to see if you wish to borrow any reference materials from us, want to book us for a speaking event or need to replenish your supply of our clinic pamphlets.

Ingrid Wood, Receptionist/Support Staff

Ingrid returned to the clinic in October 2008.  She had worked previously at the clinic as an Intake Worker/Legal Secretary and as Office Manager from 1987 to 1996.  She is usually the first person you speak with when you contact the clinic.  Ingrid provides administrative assistance to all legal workers and is involved in community development work, such as our Library Outreach project. 

Carrie McGeown, Administrative Assistant

Carrie joined the clinic in August 2011. She is an intake worker and provides administrative assistance to all legal workers. She works particularly with the housing and ODSP team. Carrie is also a licensed paralegal who assists one of our Community Legal Workers with our Criminal Injuries Compensation Board files. She often represents the clinic at community resource fairs and is passionate about providing information and access to justice to those in the community.
